Support Will Be Provided to PhD and Postdoctoral Young Researchers for Participation in the 14th Hope Meeting to Be Held in Japan!
- The 14th Hope Meeting will be held between February 27 - March 3, 2023, in Japan/Tsukuba. Organized by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS), this international event aims to bring together young researchers from the Asia, Pacific, and Africa regions with Nobel Laureates and other distinguished scientists. Visionary and successful young researchers in the fields of physics, chemistry, physiology/medicine, and related areas are invited to the event. Throughout the event, young researchers participate in group discussions and lectures; share knowledge by making presentations.
- The JSPS Foundation will cover the accommodation, Tokyo-Tsukuba transportation, and travel insurance expenses of 2 young researchers to be nominated by TÜBİTAK for participation in the Hope Meeting. The international flight ticket expenses of the candidates will be covered by TÜBİTAK.
The conditions sought for young researchers to participate in the meeting are as follows:
- Being a PhD student or having received a PhD after April 2, 2017,
- Not having participated in HOPE Meetings before,
- Having a highly successful research background and awareness of the societal impacts of scientific knowledge and practices,
- Having the expectation to establish long-term scientific partnerships and conduct advanced research through meeting participation,
- Having sufficient English proficiency to actively participate in meeting sessions,
- Being able to attend the entire meeting program from February 27 to March 3.
